The technical specifications of Thruster Brake are suited for three phase AC supply of 400 to 440 Volts. The vertically mounted springs between the thruster and the brake lever is compressed during the application of brakes. A smooth and controlled upward thrust is achieved through Electro Hydraulic Thruster that have clevis-lug mountings for a ten degree vertical mounting from either side. They are immersed in oil and the reduced friction in moving parts ensures low maintenance cost. A centrifugal pump impeller that spins in oil develops a pressure head that expends to create a kinetic head to lift the load. The parts are forged out of metal for maximum strength.

Other Information:

  • The centrifugal pump-impeller is driven by an electric motor and the pressure developed varies with the speed of the motor. Thus the pressure (thrust) can be varied by varying the motor speed. The practical limitation is that a low motor speed causes reduced oil flow and increased operating time. It is therefore recommended that variable pressure thrust be used in the stalled position of the Thruster, when the maximum possible thrust would be obtained. Thruster motors are of totally enclosed design, and stators are generally wound with class 'B' insulation. They are designed for satisfactory operation at rated voltage of 400/440 volts, 3 phase, 50 cycles. Terminal boxes fitted to the Thruster motor have provision for 3/4" conduit entry. The maximum cross section of cable that can be accommodated is 2.5mm . Supply leads must either be enclosed in a flexible conduit or be made of flexible cable so as to allow free movement to the Thruster when operating
